Tray Notification Center

To back up your data, you need to keep track of your system, your files and your information protection. With Acronis True Image 2020, you can view notifications in the desktop bar so that you can more easily monitor backup status, resolve issues faster and receive up-to-date tips on how to improve your data protection.

Backup only over selected wireless networks
You should be able to perform backups securely from anywhere. So now you can easily control which connections you can use to upload your data to the cloud. Make your uploads more secure by excluding backups over timed connections (e.g. mobile phones) or insecure public WLANs.

Custom Power Management
Backups are great, but creating them consumes a lot of power. Manage your backups so that they don't drain the battery (too much), so that your notebook runs longer. You can block backups completely when running on battery power or allow them only above a specified battery level.

Backups in Power Nap mode
How efficient would it be if you could perform tasks in your sleep? Mac users now come close because they can choose to back up their machine's data even when Power Nap is idle. That's because not only will your Mac's data be updated in Power Nap mode, but your backups can capture those changes as well.

Integrated AI-based defense technology can detect and stop ransomware attacks in real time. Files that are still affected are automatically restored. Last year, over 400,000 ransomware attacks were fended off in this way. It can also prevent crypto-mining malware from hijacking your system, abusing its resources/performance and loading additional malware.

In version 2020, we have further improved the effectiveness of Active Protection with new machine learning models, for example to stop attacks that attempt to shut down Windows services without permission. Crypto-mining may not steal your data, but this type of malware hijacks your system to mine crypto currencies. And that in turn puts a strain on your computer's performance and energy consumption.

Backup Cleanup
Computer storage space is like attics: it's almost always too small. Even if you exercise strict control over incoming data, sooner or later you run out of storage space.
