BOM MILLED MEASUREMENTS

The Bill of Materials (BOM) creation feature has a new option to support fraction measurements. To use this feature, select the "Attributes and BOM" dialog box from the "Tools" menu. Select your objects and assign a data set such as CutList properties. Apply to selected ones. Now select the "Create BOM" option to create a table. In the BOM Settings dialog box, select the Decimal Places option and then select Fractions to display measurements as fractions of feet and inches.

PHOTO RENDERING TOOL PALETTE

The photo rendering tool palette provides access to many of the tools used to create photorealistic images. The tool palette is accessed via the "Photo rendering" option in the "Tools" menu bar.

• Create camera: Creates a camera from the eye point, reference point and field of view. Cameras are saved with the file and used with the "Render camera" tool.
• Render camera: Renders a selected camera in the window.
• Renderwindow: Renders the current window and the view orientation.
• Renderto file: Renders the current view orientation to a file with a new width/height.
• Show last rendering: Displays the last rendered window in the drawing window.
• Render settings: Dialog box with settings for HDRI, background, materials and other settings.

CREATE CAMERA

The "Create camera" tool creates a camera object from the eye point, reference point and field of view. Cameras are useful for saving view orientations that can be recalled or used with the Render Camera tool.

1. Select the "Create camera" tool from the photo rendering tool palette.
2. Specify the eye point that is defined as the camera location.
3. Specify the reference point that indicates where the camera is looking.
4. The camera is created.

RENDER CAMERA

The "Render camera" tool creates a photorealistic image from a selected camera.

Properties of the camera that are supported when using this command include

• Start point, which represents the camera's eye point.
• End point, which represents the camera's reference point.
• Field of view, which defines the area of the view.

Cameras are always rendered with perspective enabled. The rendered image is drawn in the drawing window.
