Internationalization

vSphere 7.0 is available in the following languages:

• Simplified Chinese
• Traditional Chinese

The entry of non-ASCII characters is not permitted for the components of vSphere 7.0. These include vCenter Server, ESXi, the vSphere Client and the vSphere Host Client.

Compatibility

Compatibility of ESXi and vCenter versions Server

The VMware Product Interoperability Matrix provides details on the compatibility of current and previous versions of VMware vSphere components, including ESXi, VMware vCenter Server and optionally other VMware products. The vSphere Lifecycle Manager and the vSphere Client are included with vCenter Server.

Compatibility of virtual machines for ESXi

Virtual machines compatible with ESX 3.x and higher (hardware version 4) are supported for ESXi 7.0. Virtual machines compatible with ESX 2.x and higher (hardware version 3) are not supported. Preparations

vSphere 7.0 requires a CPU license for up to 32 physical cores. If a CPU has more than 32 cores, additional CPU licenses are required. Before upgrading ESXi hosts, you can determine the number of licenses required using the license counting tool described here .
