Operating system drive requirements for FileMaker Server

FileMaker Server uses the operating system drive as temporary storage for progressive downloads, app uploads and downloads, log files, and cache storage for components such as the web server.

For an optimal operating environment, FileMaker Server requires at least 100 GB of available space or more on the operating system disk even when apps are hosted or backed up on another drive. The server administrator must monitor the operating system disk to ensure that sufficient space is available.
